After the Snow Event Kona White Style, the Bikepark Leogang is busy with the last preparations for 2007. From May 17th the cable car operators of the new Valley Station will take bikes instead of skis or Snowboards up the mountain. If you look closely at the calendar for the upcoming summer, you better get prepared to see many more bikes! It's not only bikers who anticipate the exciting summer 2007 but also the Bikeparks themselves that can’t wait for the first green to show up under the melting snow. There is a lot planned for this summer, starting with the season opening on May 17th when the Bikepark Leogang will open the new valley station to the bike public for the first time. But this isn't the only new addition to the Bikepark: it now also features a fun and exciting new single trail! This 2.5 km trail was already built before the first snow fell last year and leads from the mountain station to the central station, promising great fun for every biker! Santa Claus brought a present for the smaller Bike fans, too: a training course with conveyor belt right next to the station where bike-kids can play and ride around just like the grown-ups! Besides the new additions to the park, also the upcoming events promise lots of fun and action! For the forth time the Out of Bounds weekend will take place from June 7-10th. Last summer spectators witnessed the first double backflip in mountainbike history at the BRAUN 26TRIX – who knows what might happen during the 2007 edition... With the 26TRIX and the "Top to Bottom Eliminator", that weekend has become an important date in the international Freeride and Race calendar. This year it will stage a new edition of the 26TRIX and an innovative Dual Freeride Slalom, which will replace the Downhill race, the new called "Top to Bottom Terminator". The Bikepark offers a further treat on July 1st when the IXS Cup stops in Leogang for the first time. This international race series, which takes place in Switzerland, Germany and in Leogang, the only event in Austria, is the largest Downhill Series in the German-speaking countries. Up to 500 Downhill pros are expected and all passionate Downhill fans should mark this date, as the points gained in Leogang count towards the international ranking. There are plenty of good reasons to visit Leogang in 2007. Either at the season opening on May 17th, the Out Of Bounds weekend on June 7-10th, the IXS Cup in July or at any other time between May and October – there is always something going on in Leogang!
